Peter Gervais

As the Director of Operations at the Shrine, Mr. Gervais currently manages the gift shop, finance, and all aspects of building operations – facilities, security, exhibit, and housekeeping at the Shrine.  During his more than ten-year tenure, he was involved in managing the day-to-day installation of the Gift of Love exhibit on the life of Saint John Paul II and the construction of the Redemptor Hominis Church and Luminous Mysteries Chapel.

Prior to working at the Shrine, he worked in the government relations office of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association for 23 years, eventually managing the administrative functions of the office including accounts payable, procurement, and budget.

Mr. Gervais graduated magna cum laude from Providence College with a B.A. in Political Science and received an M.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University Elliott School.

An active member of the Knights of Columbus, Mr. Gervais joined the Order in 1994 and has served in numerous capacities including Grand Knight, District Deputy, and State Deputy of the District of Columbia.  He is currently on the Board of Directors of DC Knights of Columbus Charities.
